TIE Highlights

Several STEL teachers are back from the annual TIE conference that was held in Rapid City. I am copying a recent post from the comments section because it is an awesome resource. If you are planning for professional development be sure to check out the TIE website @ http://tie.net/. They offer many online classes and tons of resources.

Here is what one attendee said about the TIE conference:

"Here is the TIE conference website they gave us. It has every breakout session that was presented, I hope this helps someone out there: http://conference2009.tie2.wikispaces.net/ I will keep trying to add new sites and new places they showed us on lesson plans already made up for smartboards, powerpoints for all curriculum areas and grade levels."

If you attended the TIE conference feel free to share what you learned by posting a comment. Thanks for sharing your learning!!

Here is a variation on something I used to do with my 5th graders. Instead of a book report, next time have your students do one of these. http://www.homepages.dsu.edu/mgeary/booktrailers/late_elementary.htm
